Hello "Anon Ymous". Love the name! lol I think there is no clear answer for this question. I personally didn't know and still don't know - but you get feedback from different sources and hopefully that gives you some idea of where you are. It's also important for you to decide how you see your photography and how much you want it to improve or what you want it to express or show I think the answer will be different if you want to take your photography to a "commercial" level. In that case, I think clients/buyers and such would tell you if you have what they want Either way, just make sure you enjoy it. Sometimes not knowing where you stand can be a bit of fun too Best of luck P.S. If you find answers, please do let me know. ;)

Hello Ehab and thank you for the kind words I currently use a Canon 40D - but at least half of the photos in my site were taken with my previous cams: Canon 350D and 400D My most used lenses are the Canon 100mm, Canon 100-300mm and Canon 17-85mm as well as the wide Sigma lens 10-20mm Earlier photos were also taken with a Canon 18-55mm If you visit my betterphoto gallery, each photo has the exact cam/lens details if you're interested in more details Thanks again

Print labs in Riyadh?
Hi! Nice photos! I see that you use Betterphotos website, just like I do. I have a question to you. I am new here in Riyadh since august.and I am looking for a good photolab. I prefer Fuiji color lab but Kodak works as well. Could you please recomend me a lab and give me the direction or its phone number? Please have a look at my website if you have some spare time. www.lindaotterstedt.com Thank you! /LINDA

tricks
i know a photographer never shares his/her secrets, but im really curious: how do you make that spot of color in a monochrome photograph? photoshop it in, or layer a colored part of the photo on its B/W counterpart?

Hello Johara and thanks for the message. I hate secrets - but even if I did, this technique is actually a very popular and basic procedure. Google "Select color" or "selective color" and you'll find many turorials that teaches it Basically, you have 2 layers of the same image. One in color and one in B&W, then using layers in Photoshop you choose which part of the image to keep in color Good luck

Compliment
Dear Faisal,As an aspiring professional photographer, your work has inspired me in a new direction. I am a recent college photo graduate who is passionate about architecture and historical preservation photography and your images have given me a new perspective on how to approach these subjects. The way you divide space in images is quite effective. Your awards are well deserved. I hope to meet you one day. Do you need an assistant? Sincerely, Charles Sternaimolo
